PROPEL 70011 INTERSECT PROPEL MOMETASON FUROATE IMPLANT [EACH]
- Sinus Indication: Ethmoid Sinus
- The PROPEL sinus implant releases a steroid (mometasone furoate) over
time. The implant starts to break down and be absorbed once placed into
the sinus. A delivery system is used to insert the implant. - The Propel Sinus Implant is comprised of approximately 93 mg of
polymers composed of lactide, glycolide, caprolactone, ethylene glycol
and 370 mcg of mometasone furoate - The PROPEL® Sinus Implant is intended for use as a medical device in patients
after sinus surgery. It is used to keep the ethmoid sinus open. It does this by
spreading mucosal tissues, keeping the middle turbinate in place, stopping
adhesions, and reducing swelling. The PROPEL® Sinus Implant reduces the
need for some treatments after surgery, such as surgical adhesion lysis and/or
use of oral steroids. Each PROPEL® Sinus Implant contains 370µg of
mometasone furoate. This is released over time to reduce swelling.
